OUR IMPACT

We collaborate with the school’s founders, staff, and teachers to determine funding priorities that will best serve the education and development of female students.
Met Needs:
A spare uniform has been provided for each student, so they no longer need to wash the same one daily.
Water bottles have been provided for each student, so they can have easier access to clean drinking water (donated by the Women’s Writing Pilgrimage of Appalachian State University).
Backpacks have been provided for each student.
Our Current Projects

It's our goal to help fund the school, so that these girls can help change the trajectory of their communities. Many come from areas with high illiteracy and poverty rates, and many villages do not have access to free education that is genuinely supporting their growth and development.
Current Projects:
Adequate salaries for school teachers. Our goal is to reach $200 per month.
Additional qualified teachers to teach a wider variety of subjects.
Reliable access to electricity for daily purposes.
Consistent internet access for online resources.
Continue capital improvements for the residential campus.
Meet the students
Her story. Her future.
We serve rural village girls, 10–17 years old, from Bargarh district who come from surrounding villages near Nuapali, Odisha, India. These girls receive a free education six days a week, from Monday through Saturday, 9:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at New Dawn Girls School, founded in 2011.
